BizTas Terms of Use - Listed Businesses

PREAMBLE

The BizTas website ("BizTas") is a free service offered by the Tasmanian Government ("Crown") to the public ("Visitors") and to businesses and organisations that have a connection with the state. The service includes a business directory of registered Tasmanian businesses and organisations.

The publication on BizTas of information about your business or organisation (both of which are referred to in the following text as a "Business") is conditional upon your acceptance of these Terms of Use or such Terms as are published from time to time.

YOUR UNDERTAKINGS

  1. You warrant that you are authorised to accept these Terms of Use on behalf of your business.
  2. You agree to create and maintain the content about your Business ("the Business Content") and accept that you are solely responsible for the accuracy and currency of the Business Content published in BizTas.
  3. You acknowledge that the Crown will not be checking or endorsing the accuracy or content of the Business Content.
  4. You warrant that you have the right to publish the Business Content including any copyright material, trademark and brands.
  5. You warrant that the Business Content is accurate and truthful.
  6. You agree that Visitors are authorised to reproduce the material that appears on BizTas for personal or non-commercial use, without formal permission or charge.
  7. You agree that the Crown is not responsible for any Business Content that appears on third party web sites and is not responsible for their Terms of Use.
  8. You agree to change your password frequently and ensure that it is only known and used by the person responsible for your Business Content.
  9. Cookies are files that store information about a business. You agree that the Crown may use Cookies to store personal information about you. You can choose to turn off this feature through your Web browser.
  10. You agree that the Crown may refuse to publish any Business Content for any reason, and may remove or hide from public view, temporarily or permanently, any Business Content at any time and for any reason, without notice. In taking such steps, the Crown does not accept any liability for any loss or damage suffered by the business, howsoever caused.
  11. You may hide or remove your entry in BizTas at any time by logging in to BizTas and selecting the appropriate menu option.
  12. You understand that the Crown will direct all communications with you to your last known e-mail address.
  13. You agree that the Crown has the right to make changes to these Terms of Use from time to time. A copy of the most current version will be published on BizTas. If you do not wish to abide by the most current Terms of Use, you may delete your record from BizTas.
  14. You agree that the Crown has the right to make minor changes to your business record to fix spelling and grammar errors.

CROWN UNDERTAKINGS

  1. The Crown may use the services of third parties to translate all or part of BizTas using either human or machine translation. The Crown accepts no liability for any mistranslation.
  2. The Crown retains the right to republish BizTas, or any part thereof, on other websites and other media such as (but not restricted to) print and CD.
  3. The Crown does not warrant that the security measures taken will prevent unauthorised users from editing your Business Content. The Crown does not accept any liability for any damage caused by unauthorised access or changes to your Business Content.
  4. In the event that your last known email address is unable to receive email, or you do not respond to email sent to you, the Crown may remove or hide your Business Content or mark your Business Content so that Visitors are aware that your Business Content may be inaccurate or out of date.
  5. The Crown reserves the right to terminate the service of BizTas for any reason.
  6. The Crown makes no commitment to a specific service level (such as uptime) for BizTas.
  7. All contact in the first instance regarding the use of material published on BizTas should be directed by email to businesspoint@development.tas.gov.au
